Is Christianity and being a pilot mutually exclusive?

As an example of the weird way my mind works sometimes, while watching a few moments of a television show on the book of Revelations and the concept of the Rapture, I actually catch myself thinking, “Maybe we shouldn’t allow Christians to be airline pilots.” :)

I must have missed something. I know I take the Lord’s name in vain too many times, but I consider myself a Christian. Please advise…and what was the TV program?

I don’t remember, but it was likely Mysteries of the Bible on the History Channel or A&E or something.

In case you’re not aware of the Rapture, most Christians believe that when Christ returns, His followers will be “called up” into the Heavens with Him, leaving only non-believers on Earth, thus, a Christian pilot would disappear mid-flight, and the co-pilot would have to keep the plane from crashing.

If all of the flight crew are believers, then planes will fall from the sky.
