Cell Phone 101
I learned several very important lessons regarding cell phones yesterday:
- $20 belt clips generally don’t work well.
- Cell phones in general, particularly Motorola V3ms, are not waterproof.
- When you purchase a cell phone at a discount under a provider’s long distance plan and they ask you if you want to add insurance say, “Yes.”
- When your service refuses to extend your contract an additional two years in order to purchase a replacement phone at discount, it’s time to seriously consider just paying the $200 early termination fee and finding someone else.
- GSM is better than CDMA.

$200!!!! OUCH! I’d just make some fake military orders or something.

I would check out Verizon’s GzOne Type-V. Its a Mil spec phone thats waterproof and shock resistant. All with a nice screen and a 2.0 mega-pixel camera + flash. Only problem is that it weighs almost as much as a MacBook and has about 2 hours of talk time per charge
